History
Mowbrey & Associates was founded in 1984 by my father Terry Mowbrey, with the core values that inform our business practices today – face to face service and personal accountability, commitment to ongoing education and training, and continual growth and change in response to dynamic business environments.
As Mowbrey & Associates grew, additional partners were added, including my brother Greg, now co-manager of MowbreyGil LLP, a public CPA practice which offers a full suite of accounting services. MowbreyGil LLP is an independently owned and operated member firm of both the Moore Stephens North America (MSNA) association of member firms, and the Moore Stephens International Limited (MSIL) network of member firms.
My father has since retired and Mowbrey & Associates is in the process of rebranding as Mowbrey Inc to reflect that we are a family business, providing the same standard of excellent service with which we were founded 30 years ago.
Terry maintained that it was important for us to meet the client at their place of business as often as possible, which differentiates us from traditional public practice firms. As circumstances warrant, we will even maintain physical presence in your business to ensure the successful implementation of our change initiatives.
Our company has expanded our range of expertise to meet the evolving needs of small and medium sized enterprises. We continue to offer public accounting and tax services through our affiliate Blue Ink Accounting Corp. However, we have strengthened our business advisory services to include Contract CFO, Business Mentoring & Executive Coaching, Change Management, Fraud Investigation and Assurance Services.
We have been engaged by Companies all across Canada, from Halifax, NS to Langley, BC.
We have a convenient Edmonton south-side location with ample free parking, and we will happily come to you.
